Find the right channel that works for you, the coach, parents and players.
Avenues of communication could include email, text message, a private Facebook group or chat, WhatsApp or the Heja app.
Parents and players have been quite responsive to using Heja. It’s a user-friendly app for team comms. You can post updates, communicate via chat and add events for players to RSVP for upcoming training and fixtures.
TIP: If using Heja, only load a few weeks of fixtures - they can change and create more work for yourself. -
View court bookings including confirmed time/venue for your team.
You'll have access to the court for practice during Term 4, 2024, and Term 1, 2025.
Each booking is for a 1-hour session, and each team is assigned a half court. -
Team managers will oversee team singlets for the season, with players responsible for collecting their singlets before each game and returning them to their manager after the game ends.
The uniform bag must be brought to every game during the season. If you are short a player and require someone to fill in they can be allocated a spare singlet at the stadium to avoid forfeiting your game.
Team Managers must record on the sheet provided the uniform singlet # each player is assigned. This record sheet must be kept in the uniform bag for the entirety of the season and updated accordingly.
The Team Manager must return in full at the end of season the complete set of laundered uniforms at the specified drop off day.
At games Coaches and Team Manager must wear the official Dunsborough Basketball Club polo shirt. Please contact us if you have not received your shirt.

Age group, date, time and court of the scheduled game.

As per the bylaws, notification of a forfeit must be received 24 hours before the fixtured game. BABA understand that sometimes in exceptional circumstances this may not be possible however, it is important that everyone is aware of the importance of having procedures and following them where possible for clear communication.
Should a team forfeit with less than 24 hours’ notice, forfeit fines will be applied, as per BABA Table of Fines.

All teams are to provide their own competent scorer over the age of 13. It’s a very easy job that parents can get involved in!
Please refer to BABA’s site regarding scoring information.
It is the role of the Team Manager to prepare and distribute a scoring roster to all parents.

Due to the large number of teams and the number of games this season, it will put a lot of pressure on the number of umpires BABA have.
We ask that you please always respect the referees and their decisions, even if you may not agree with a call.
BABA have LOTS of new umpires who are also learning and are constantly being supported by a senior umpire, and abuse towards ANY umpire will not be tolerated.
Please reiterate to all players and their parents in your team.
