Mark Flynn BABA Life Member

Mark Flynn, a long-standing committee member of the Dunsborough Basketball Club, was presented with a Busselton Amateur Basketball Association (BABA) Life Membership on Tuesday 19th November, 2024. The award was given by fellow Life Member Arthur Hutchins, with Edith Hutchins and members of the basketball community, including coaches, referees, players, and parents, in attendance.

Flynn has been a key figure in basketball across the South West for over 15 years. He helped establish the Dunsborough Basketball Club 10 years ago, guiding its entry into the BABA domestic competition. He has since coached numerous teams, served as DBC President, and remains an active committee member.

In addition to his work with Dunsborough, Flynn has contributed to BABA as a referee and former committee member. He is also an NBL1 coach for the South West Slammers, a Junior WABL coach, and runs the Dunsborough Oilers Winter League. Flynn continues to coach Busselton Blazers representative teams, even after his sons graduated from the program.

The Dunsborough Basketball Club acknowledges Flynn’s significant contributions to basketball and congratulates him on receiving this well-deserved recognition.
